Yeshua is Yehovah

The Word

Yehovah Dabar - 'The Word of Yehovah' appears many times in the Old Testament - From the Book of Genesis through to the Book of Zechariah. In English this will appear as the Word of the LORD.

It may have been an audible voice - a voice to hear, or a conversation. Or it may be the Spirit of Yehovah speaking to a mans' soul - again, a voice to hear, or a conversation. Which ever it was it is a term that is recognised as Yehovah speaking.

Yehovah Dabar - 'Yehovah Speaks' is very interesting - He spoke creation into being - He only speaks truth - He speaks to communicate.

Yehovah was in the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, and He spoke to them - He could communicate with them in a language that He must have taught them. He walked with them and talked to them, and gave them freewill to follow His instruction or to disobey. They were given freewill so they can choose which is ultimately the meaning of life!

We have a choice to follow the Word or to not follow the Word - one leads to eternal life, one leads to the second death.

In the Bible the Followers primarily followed the audible spoken voice of Yehovah and Yeshua, then the utterances of the prophets, and then the written words of the Holy Scriptures.

Today we can follow the written word of the Holy Scriptures, then the utterances of the prophets and then the voice of Yehovah.

Yeshua said "it is written" when He was tempted by Satan. Quoting the Word of Yehovah is a weapon - a sword. When faced with temptation we can remind ourselves what the word says.

Yehovah can also speak through the Followers of Yeshua without them being aware He is doing it! In the Book of Acts of the Apostles, on the day of Pentecost the believers began to speak in other tongues - and God-fearing Jews from every nation could hear them speaking in their own language!

The Holy Spirit does this amazing act of communicating through us!

Yeshua the Word was with God, and the Word was God - Yeshua was God, he was not a god. Yeshua was the one true God, not a false god. There is but one true God - all others are false gods.
