Yeshua is Yehovah

The Name



The Hebrew word Ha-Shem means 'The Name' . 'The Name' is how Yehovah is referred to without saying His name!

In the Shem Tob's Hebrew Gospel of Matthew - "Ha-Shem" is referred a number of time - in English this is simply translated as 'the Lord'.

Hashem above all names - Yehovah is the Name above all names.

Hashem is Yehovah - Hashem is Yeshua.

There is an interesting notion in the Old Testament that is worth pondering - the notion of "the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name". The idea of their being a physical location "consecrated" as a dwelling place for HaShem. This can be compared with having the Holy Spirit living within you when you become a Christian. Your heart becomes a dwelling place for HaShem!

Today in the same way, countries, cities, cathedrals, churches, buildings, rooms, physical areas can be "consecrated" as a dwelling place for HaShem.
But, what happens when a country decides to "deconsecrate" itself from being a dwelling place for HaShem?

There is another notion in the Old Testament - "to call on the name of Yehovah". How did they do this?

Does the Prayer that Yeshua teaches in Matthew 6 "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name." - is this a guide to calling on the name?

  • Father in heaven, may your Name be sanctified

  • Yehovah - The Name the Father gave the Son


    I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.

  • Yeshua - Salvation is found in no other Name

    But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”

  • Yeshua - Name above all names


    Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Yeshua every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
